Sadly, it's our last night in Italy. Before its end, I challenged myself to take a night photo of the Colosseum. It's hard to get a good vantage point since it is always surrounded by people, and half of it is currently covered in scaffolding for restoration. I managed to catch this one during Blue Hour, and although it's not ideal, it sums up a Rome that I will remember–a bustling contradiction of the modern and the ancient–its people and lights reflected on the rain-slicked streets. What a beautiful place! #rome #italy #colosseum #vacation #travel #nightphotography #italia

Can you spot the penis arrow? These ingenious signs led the sailors and visitors to Ponpei, who spoke all different kinds of languages, straight to the brothel. #italy #pompei #vacation

This stray dog just sleeps in the middle of one of Pompeii's theaters, naught a care in the world about all us damn tourists. Apparently he is a regular, and there are many more like him. #vacation #italy #pompeii #travel

The Basilica of St. Mary of Angels and the Martyrs in Rome. This is the first photo I have posted that I was able to edit on a computer. I left my laptop at home for the trip, so I was editing everything on my phone. Also, as soon as I touched down in Rome, I was immediately trying to identify which buildings I've "Ezio'd" (scaled in Assassin's Creed). I think visiting a place I have immersed myself in through a video game made it more exciting for me. #italy #rome #italia #roma #rooftopview #cityscape #travel

It has been raining cats and dogs today, so we have just been chilling, shopping for souvenirs, and eating. This is a typical look down one of the narrow alleys here in Sorrento. It's undeniably a place of commerce, but also one of real charm. Lots of inspiration to draw from! #italy #sorrento #vacation #travel #rainyday
