101/1001 - #80 Completed
That is a winning sandcastle, right there! Literally. After an hour-and-a-half of build time and a 24-hour voting period on Facebook, Jennifer and I won Sandcastle Battle 2010 by a landslide with our entry, “The Phallus Palace,” against Guy and Blaine’s “Castle Barbaria.”
Even with a gold DeLorean traveling back through time, Castle Barbaria stood no chance! Castle Barbaria’s Tournament Area Not even Skull Mountain did them any good! Tournament areas and skull mountains are no match for a moat, a drawbridge and a giant wizard!
The wager consisted of the losers making the winners a cake.
Aww, look, it’s boys baking! =) In the end, the boys really did turn out a fantastic, buttery, banana castle cake. Bravo! Jennifer and I, posing with our winnings. Topped it off with some fresh bananas, whipped cream and chopped pecans. That cake got DESTROYED! Man, it’s good to win! Oh, and building sandcastles is fun, too! ;D How will Sandcastle 2011 fare, I wonder? This needs to become a tradition.
